This room is for our 3-4 year old children and encompasses the core of our Experiential Learning Model. This room uses centers to explore and learn about content areas such as language arts, reading, writing, science, math and music. The children in this room begin to participate in our  garden-to-table and culinary program and spend a significant amount of time exploring the greenhouse and outside spaces.

Our Daily Routine Includes:

  • 7:00-8:30: Flexible Drop-off/Diaper Changes/Toileting

  • 8:30-9:00: Breakfast

  • 9-9:30: Morning Welcome, Jobs, Day of the Week, Weather and Songs (during warm months this will take place outside when possible)

  • 9:30-10:00: Diaper Changes/Toileting/Hand Washing/Snack

  • 10:00-10:45: Teacher Facilitated Small & Whole Group Activities (may include culinary, greenhouse and nature-based classroom work)

  • 10:45-11:00: Diaper Changes/Toileting/Self-Lead Dressing for Outside

  • 11:00-11:45: Outside Free Play/Multipurpose Room Free Play

  • 11:45-12:00: Toileting/Hand Washing/Prep for Lunch

  • 12:00-12:30: Lunch

  • 12:30-1:00: Toileting/Brush Teeth/Hand Washing/Independent Reading on Mats

  • 1:00-3:00: Rest/Nap Time

  • 3:00-3:15: Bathroom/Hand Washing

  • 3:15-3:45: Snack

  • 3:45-4:15: End of Day Closing

  • 4:15-Pick Up: Outside or Multipurpose Room Free Play
